First Vehicle Finance Ltd and David Linsdell (our Account Manager) have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. We needed a new pool car for our business and selected a Smart car. We received 3 quotes from lease hire companies (2 were on our network preferred supplier list) and First Vehicle had the best quote; significantly cheaper monthly costs, more choice of model and the best delivery date. The whole process has been efficient and extremely professional and we have been very impressed with the personal attention to detail displayed by David and First Vehicle. I would sincerely recommend them as the Vehicle Lease company of choice, and have urged our franchise network to adopt them as a preferred supplier.

First Vehicle Finance Ltd and Richard couldn't have been more helpful. My wife had a very specific car in mind and a set monthly budget and Richard took a great deal of time in helping to explain all of the finance options, helping every step of the way in making sure we got our perfect car and under budget! The process was made very easy and the service was fantastic to the extent that I am now looking to finance a car for myself with First Vehicle! Highly recommend!
First class service received from David and the Team at First Vehicle Finance. You have made the process of arranging our lease plan so straight forward and easy to understand. Thank you so much for all your help. We are delighted with our new car. Kind Regards Dermot Kavanagh
David - a quick note to thank you for sorting out the X3.
The car arrived at 9:10 this morning, and Bernard Rooney followed up with a call to see if everything was ok.
I did not expect this level of service as we had not bought from you before, and I'm delighted.
Thanks for all your help over the months on sorting out the finance and spec on my X3 and June and John's X1.
Many companies spout about excellent customer service but few deliver like your company has.
Thanks again, Giles
I Received my Volvo V40 R Design today and could not be happier. The car has more than met my expectations, but just as important the service from you has been impeccable throughout. From the initial very competitive quote, all the way through to the delivery today was a pleasure that I could not fault in any way. Keep up the exceptional work, Thanks a lot.
I am a company car user and have 2 cars with First Finance and regularly speak to Richard Mayle and Juliet via email,in the last few weeks I purchased a car for my wife, very happy with the car everything from start to finish happened so easily and efficiently. Fantastic service.
Helpful and friendly team of people. We have been using First Finance for a number of years now and would highly recommend them.
My truck back has now had the top installed. I can honestly say it's now my favourite car I've owned (over my RS5)
And I can't thank you enough for your hard and consistent service you've offered me. Please don't change your ways. You're a great company to deal with. Hats off to Will for battling hard for my custom. I wasn't an easy client.
Will be in touch in the next month for another truck and van

Hi Will I am currently out the country working, I have been in regular contact with my wife she told me that the transfer of the vehicles went down without a hitch, unfortunately I was in Iraq when this all happened so as yet I have not seen the car in the flesh, but I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your help from start to finish of the process, I had a good experience the first time I dealt with you and have had another flawless experience this time and I look forward to dealing with you again in another 3 years thanks agaim Will.
Had a great experience with First Vehicle Finance. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted in terms of payment options, all I knew was that I wanted a new car! This was my first experience in financing a car, so obviously a bit apprehensive about what I was getting myself into. But Will was really helpful in explaining the different finance options they have to offer. I learned of the different payment profiles, monthly instalments, leasing contracts, all down to the nitty gritty. After this, I decided to go with FVF. The process was really easy, straightforward, and if I had question, they were more than happy to help, and quickly. Then I learned they deliver your car free of charge! Which saved me arranging a ride to the garage to collect :) All in all, great service and would recommend to family and friends.
Top Gear test on a range of SUV’s currently on the market in 2018. They selected the best SUV’s on the market and this is what they found. We reviewed their rankings of the SUV's according to each category.
SUV General Handling:
Audi SQ7 came out on top. The Bentley Bentyga and Audi SQ7 have the same triple-charged diesel engine but in terms of handling the Audi comes out on top. The Audi sticks to the road and feels faster and smoother than the Bentley. The Audi SQ7 is a magical car to drive – it just wants to be driven.
Jaguar and Land Rover both fall under the TATA banner but handle slightly differently. Jaguar F-Pace has much better handling and tends to stick to the road better than the Land Rover does.
General SUV Handling is ranked accordingly:
*Audi SQ7: 10
*Bentley Bentayga: 9
*Jaguar F-Pace: 8
*Alfa Romeo Stelvio: 7 + 1
*Land Rover Discovery: 6
*Peugeot 5008 4x4: 5
*Skoda Kodiaq: 4
*Dacia Duster: 3
Speed is not just reserved for petrol heads and back street races. They tested speed in terms of how quickly you over take, get on or off a slip way or pulling off from the side the road.
In terms of speed its no surprise to see Audi and Bentley at the top of the league table and to Dacia Dusters embarrassment it comes in stone last.
The land rover almost came in right at the bottom but once some mileage had been built up and it had some traction it took over most of the other cars.
Alfa Romeo might not have made reliable good car in the past but the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio comes in a graceful 4th paces and gives the other cars a good run for their money!
SUV Speed is ranked accordingly:
*Audi SQ7: 10
*Bentley Bentayga: 9
*Jaguar F-Pace: 8
*Alfa Romeo Stelvio: 7
*Land Rover Discovery: 6
*Skoda Kodiaq: 5
*Peugeot 3008 4x4 : 4
*Dacia Duster: 3
Off Road handling:
The Land Rover handles the English country side and off road the best. I suppose it might have something to do with the fact that’s its designed and built in England. So it fits in well with the English, Welsh and Scottish country sides. Nothing seems to intimidate this car. From gravel roads to icy roads it has a mode for each. The Land Rover wins hand down in the category.
If you like the underdog look no further than the Dacia Duster as one of the cheapest SUV’s on the market currently it handles amazingly well off road.At the opposite end of the spectrum you get the Bentley which handles beautifully off road. That is if you want to take a £60K+ vehicle off road and potentially ruin some paint work or rims. However you can get it as muddy as you like and still be sitting literally in the lap of luxury and style.
I know the Alfa Romeo ranks at the bottom of this test however it needs to be said it managed to beat the Volvo XC60 and Range Rover Velar in 2 runs on the English country side off road. To which it was said Alfa Romeo might not make the most reliable cars but they sure make reliable 4x4's in their terms of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
Off Road handling ranking:
Land Rover Discovery: 10
Bentley Bentayga: 9
Dacia Duster: 8
Audi SQ7: 7
Skoda Kodiaq: 6
Alfa Romeo Stelvio: 5
Peugeot 3008 4x4: 4
Jaguar F-Pace: 3
Cost: Cheapest SUV to most expensive SUV's
Dacia Duster comes in 1st as the cheapest car. In terms of what you get for your money, this is a good run around car or a first car. Great for quickly nipping around town and to the shops (not as fast as some of the others but a good enough car for those looking for a value for money car and ranked high in terms of off road handling).
Peugeot 3008 4x4 is great value for money coming in £15 000 less than the Audi and £45 000 cheaper than the Bentley. In terms of a good SUV to get you started the Peugeot is good value for money. In terms of Audi and Bentley you get what you pay for – while they might have the biggest prices tag in terms of speed, style, comfort you get what you pay for – luxury to a T.
Compare SUV Cost and ranking accordingly:
*Dacia Duster: 10 £11,513 (Grab a bargain from: £140 / month)
*Peugeot 3008 4x4: 9 £14,933 (Grab a bargain from: £210 / month)
*Skoda Kodiaq: 8 £17,073 (Grab a bargain from: £233 / month)
*Alfa Romeo Stelvio: 7 £20,960 (Grab a bargain from: £292 / month)
*Jaguar F-Pace: 6 £26,080 (Grab a bargain from £358 / month )
*Land Rover Discovery: 5 £29,534 (Grab a bargain from £490 / month )
*Audi SQ7: 4 £31,291 (Grab a bargain from £537 / month )
